Me to a guy: "Hey you should come to my POP Pilates class!"
Guy: "Isn't it like yoga? Is it like dancing? I'm not flexible."
Boys, boys boys. Please do not assume or judge a class until you try it ;) Over a year of teaching POP I have had a variety of guys come to my classes. Some come with their girlfriends, and no, their girlfriends didn't MAKE them come (well, okay maybe they did). BUT THEY CAME BACK! So, obv they enjoyed it.
Honestly, I won't lie - I get sweet satisfaction when guys come to POP because they think they won't even break a sweat and it'll be "easy". Then I see them suffer. And I love it. What makes me even happier, is when guys ADMIT that it's hard.
So, today I'm sharing with you real testimonials from guys who do POP Pilates. You ready? Cause these aren't scripted.
Lee, was one of the originals. He started coming to POP with his girlfriend Lex, who's actually a POP instructor in training!
"As a guy I was very hesitant to attend a POP Pilates class as I thought it was just yoga with the latest pop hits being played. Once I actually did attend one of Steph's classes I found myself using many muscles that my normal workout did not even cover. Her classes are a fun mix of cardio and body weight exercises being done with the flow and motivation of pre-selected songs. I would recommend to any male to add POP Pilates into their work out schedule and see for themselves how it can help contribute to their normal weight driven work outs."
So there you have it. These guys do POP Pilates, they love it and they ADMIT it.
