Here I am, day THREE... laying in my bed. No workouts. No teaching my fitness classes. Just RESTING.
Most people would be like "wooo rest! NETFLIX BABY!"
But not me.
I hate relaxing.
There is a time and place when you need to just stop because your body is telling you "no".
Years ago this would have been extremely hard for me. I would have PUSHED myself to go workout. I would have been so afraid to eat because I thought laying around all day would make me gain weight. UGH. (Have those thoughts? You need to FREE yourself from that - click here.)
But not today. Today I am honoring my body because it's sick and it needs rest + recovery. I am not sitting here afraid that I will "lose all my progress" or "get fat". I am honestly sitting here just wishing I could get into the gym and FEEL GOOD! But I know that allowing myself to recover and heal properly will let me get back into the gym STRONGER.
And you know what's EFFING COOL? Even some of my Courageously Confident girls are having a rough week too (okay, that's not cool), but the cool part is that they DON'T FEEL GUILTY FOR MISSING WORKOUTS LIKE THEY USED TO! They used to be HAPPY when they HAD to rest from their old workouts - but THESE workouts make them motivated and WANT to workout (WIN)!
The point is, fitness is part of your life, it should enhance your life, but it is not your entire life. Things get in the way. That is LIFE.
That is why I preach flexible fitness. You are going to get sick - take days off.
You are going to go on vacation - take days off.
You are going to be tired - take days off.
But I also preach MINDSET.
Are you actually pushing yourself to reach your goals, or are you scared?
There is a difference between resting and giving up.
Mindset is everything. When you manifest and envision getting stronger and being better, you WILL get stronger and be better.

ARE you seeing progress from your workouts? Are you motivated to workout? Do you have an accountability system? Do you know HOW to create workouts for your goals?
I am the girl who used to do all the free workouts on YouTube. I used to Google all my workouts. But they did not TEACH ME what I was doing. They just TOLD me what to do. I didn't know why I was doing it. I was just doing it. I had no idea HOW to progress.
