The F word. FAT. It's so so so bad. It's frowned upon.
"OMG you gained fat?"
You look at the scale and you see it go up slightly...automatic thoughts "I gained fat/weight. I'm a failure."
These words have been ingrained in our minds so now we think all fat is, is bad. Your body needs fat. And gaining weight is NOT the end of the world. If you are seriously restricting food and exercising to the point of physical exhaustion, you need to save yourself before this obsession gets too far and interrupts parts of your life that are MORE IMPORTANT.

You know if you need to gain weight. You can feel it. If you can feel the exhaustion, the hunger, the irritability. You just know. And it's OKAY to gain weight. It's not as scary as it seems.
I went from being skin and bones to gaining TWENTY FIVE POUNDS. And it is not all "fat". Yes I gained some fat, but you know what else I gained?
ENERGY. LIFE. PASSION. LOVE. EXISTENCE.
I know what it's like to be obsessed with your size. Being skinny. You think skinny = worth. But it doesn't. Being the smallest human does not define you. Being HEALTH, HAPPY, and being YOU defines you. And you cannot be those things if you are depriving yourself of FOOD.
It's time to stop and think where this obsession is coming from.
It's not about food and it's not about your body.. it's about something deeper.
