I recently did a photoshoot and these are some of the most powerful body image photos I have ever taken. I want to say something super real right now... I AM SO OVER IT! Seriously, I'm over it. I'm over YOU being persuaded to measure your worth by weight, by losing weight, by numbers and how you look. When you seriously stop to think about it, isn't it extremely sad?
So, I took off my clothes (ironic) and wrapped this measuring tape around me. I used to measure my worth by numbers and if these numbers didn't go down day by day, it would RUIN ME. Literally my day would be ruined. I would be in a bad mood and I felt worthless.

How did it come to this? Why did I get so obsessed with the numbers? I don't blame one thing, I blame multiple things - my personality, genetics, that fact that I was looking for control and I could control this, I blame social media for persuading me that measuring myself was the answer to happiness.
Does this sound familiar to you? Do you get upset or emotional when you weigh or measure yourself? Please, please, please don't. It's not about the number. You are so much more. You are your mind, your heart and your soul. You are capable of SO MUCH MORE. Why let a number ruin it all?
Are you convinced by social media and all these workout guides and plans that tell you to measure yourself? I recently read a quote... I don't remember exactly how it went but it was something like,
"if that workout plan is correlating happiness to weight loss, don't buy it!"
THAT SPOKE VOLUMES TO ME. Your weight and your happiness should have NO RELATION. I have been all extremes and none made me "happier".
I never want you to hate yourself because of your body. I want you to love and embrace it. That's why I wrote "A Letter To The Girl Who Hates Her Body." If you haven't got it yet, then NOW is your chance. It's only $4.00 and it is something that I promise you will read when you are having a bad day, moment or week. Please share this blog with other girls who are having the same struggle. I understand you and the best thing we can do is help each other and TALK. The e-book can be purchased below.
I love you,
