Today I want to talk about belly rolls. EWWWWW right? Who wants belly rolls? We dream of having the perfect flat stomach with a six-pack of abs because that is what we are taught is beautiful. Don't get me wrong, if you worked hard for your ab muscles - then AWESOME. I know I did. And I finally did it in a healthy way (if you want me to blog about how I got my abs while INCREASING food and training differently let me know!). But you need to know and remember that posture, lighting and angles of pictures you see online are JUST that. Good postures. Good lighting. Good angles - to show off the definition. A person who has abs still has belly rolls when they sit down.
This was me in the morning while I was taking fitness pictures with Eric. Window = good natural lighting to show off your definition. The same way it shows off my neck and my chest. People think I may walk around like this all day. NO. Not realistic and I never want to portray that image. What I want you to know is that YES - it's okay to show off your hard worked for physique in a motivational way. But it's also important to remember that everyone's body is different. Some people naturally get more defined abs than others.
Pictures are pictures. Abs are abs. Belly rolls are belly rolls. They are beautiful and they are part of you. Think about it, it's JUST SKIN.
I know this was a short little post, but my stomach was something I was always self-conscious about and I get a lot of comments saying "AB GOALS" and I don't want you to think people walk around with flat abs all day long. Know what makes definition POP in a picture.
