It's been a hot minute since I've wrote an actual blog post - sorry! Life is busy and I treat my Instagram as my blog - it's easier ;) But I wanted to updated you guys on some things going on!
1. My Struggles On Vacation
Are you familiar with the new trending hashtag #gaingingweightiscool? You should be because IT'S COOL! This started a few weeks ago and it started at the perfect time for me. I was on vacation in Florida and I was struggling a lot. It's hard being out of my comfort zone with eating and all I saw all over social media was everyone jumping on the #newyearnewme bandwagon with their diets and new workout plans. It made me feel really really bad. Like to the point where I wanted to go back to old habits. I wanted to restrict food. I felt awful about myself. Everyone else was losing weight. And here I was... not losing weight. It felt like everyone was teamed up together to get leaner and be skinner and therefore be BETTER. But I knew that wasn't for me. It even got me really upset. Like bawling, crying, emotional really upset. It ruined a lot of what could have been amazing moments on my vacation. And the thing is, I felt so sorry for the girls falling into these trends who DON'T NEED TO BE DIETING or doing meal plans or whatever. This is why eating disorders start. Because girls think they need to lose weight and restrict foods when THEY DON'T. UGH. I get so heated about this topic because I know how it feels.
Eric helped me a lot on vacation. He reminded me of MY GOALS. He reminded me that I've been down this path and it was nothing but toxic. So, don't give into what everyone else is doing and just focus on ME. So, that's my advice to you. Who cares about the diets and trends. Do YOU. Do what YOU want. Do what makes YOU feel good.
2. I'm in Teen Vogue!
Two days ago my friend Michelle emailed me that she needed a quote about the hashtag #gainingweightiscool for Teen Vogue. Of course, I was on board right away. She's a journalist and specializes in writing about topics around body image. The very next day, her article was LIVE! This is amazing. I am so happy that we can go against the thinspos and also show people that gaining weight is OKAY too! Read the article HERE.

4. NEW PROJECT?
Guys, I've been considering (actually I already started writing it) writing an ED Self Help E-Book. It won't be named that, it'll be named something like "Self Discovery." It will be like a real, raw, honest guide of things we deal with when struggling through ED. Like eating out with friends and fam, vacations, guilt, exercise addiction, comparisons, self-love etc. It will be FREE. And it will be available to download through my website.
